High-alloy electrodes 308L-17

308L-17 electrodes are austenitic stainless steel electrodes with low carbon content. They are specifically designed for welding stainless steels and their equivalents. The reduced carbon level minimizes the risk of intergranular corrosion, ensuring durability and high-quality joints even in corrosive environments.

Key advantages:

  • High corrosion resistance – ideal for work in chemically aggressive or humid environments.
  • Low carbon content – reduced risk of intergranular corrosion.
  • Smooth, aesthetic weld – smooth arc control, minimal spatter, and easy slag removal.
  • Stable arc – good welding characteristics in all positions.
  • High-quality welds – free from cracks and internal defects.

Applications:

  • Welding of stainless steels
  • Chemical, food, and pharmaceutical plant structures
  • Tanks, pipelines, and process equipment
  • Assembly and repair work with stainless steels
  • Welding of components exposed to moisture, acids, and other corrosive factors

High-alloy electrodes 309L-17

309L-17 electrodes are austenitic stainless steel electrodes with reduced carbon content. They are intended for welding stainless steels to non-alloy and low-alloy carbon steels, as well as for surfacing components exposed to corrosion or high temperatures. The low carbon content minimizes the risk of intergranular corrosion.

Key advantages:

  • High corrosion resistance – ideal for use in chemically aggressive or humid environments.
  • Stable arc and smooth weld – easy electrode handling and aesthetic weld appearance.
  • Low carbon content – increases joint durability.
  • Excellent weldability – steady arc performance, easy striking and re-striking.
  • Material versatility – suitable for joining different types of steels (e.g., stainless to carbon steel).

Applications:

  • Welding stainless steel to carbon steel
  • Joining stainless to structural steels (heterogeneous joints)
  • Surfacing of worn or corrosion-exposed components
  • Chemical, petrochemical, and food industry structures
  • Power industry, pipelines, tanks, furnace housings

High-alloy electrodes 316L-17

316L-17 electrodes are austenitic stainless steel electrodes with low carbon content, enriched with molybdenum (Mo). They offer exceptional corrosion resistance, especially in environments containing chlorides and other aggressive chemical compounds. Designed for welding stainless steels and other corrosion-resistant alloys prone to pitting and crevice corrosion.

Key advantages:

  • High resistance to corrosion and chlorides – ideal for marine, chemical, and aggressive environments.
  • Molybdenum (Mo) addition – increases resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
  • Low carbon content – reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion.
  • Stable arc and easy welding – smooth electrode handling and aesthetic welds.
  • High-quality joints – X-ray quality welds, free of cracks and defects.

Applications:

  • Welding of stainless steels
  • Chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries
  • Water and sewage installations in aggressive environments
  • Equipment used in chloride-containing environments (e.g., swimming pools, marine installations)
  • Tanks, pipelines, heat exchangers, stainless steel fittings
